Woke early to yet another sunny cloudless day. Got going early after picking up fuel and supplies in the town, on motorway for 9.00. Easy uneventful drive. Motorways clear with few roadworks and very light traffic once we past Mienheim. Pulled into the aire nice and early so we could explore the area, a country park around a huge manmade reservoir. What we didnt count on was that it was a Saturday, the weather was hot and there was an organised mountain bike
race,the car park plus the approach roads were blocked with double parked cars and coaches. We crept down the lane and as luck would have it one place remained in the allocacted camper van parking. We squeezed on at the back of an eleagly parked car, he soon got the message when he couldn't get in his boot so moved !
Had a look rou d the damn and park, well worth a little longer to visit next time.
