Expecting to have breakfast in the sun we were disappointed to wake to a grey overcast morning, though still warm.I took a walk over to the reception to settle up and found the office empty. Great stuff a free night. The smile was soon wiped off my face along with 130Kn out my wallet as the receptionist turned up as we drove out!
Picked up pastries in the village and continued up the coast road towards the motorway and the border crossing. Weather picked up and the sun started to shine and it was 20 deg by the time we got to the border, not bad for a October morning. Autumn starting to take hold with trees changing colour and looking beautiful in the morning sun against blue skies. Through the border without any problems and then filled the fuel tank amd purchased the all important vignette before getting back on the motorway heading for Ljubljana.
We made good time and arrived at Bled around 2.30. We decided to use a different site so we could explore the lake a little before dark. Pulled into Camping Bled, right next to the lake, good site with modern clean facilities all for €23.00 a night. Pitxhed up and went for a walk. Spent three hours or so walking around the maybe half of the lake side, taking in the beautiful views and enjoying the autumn smells and colour. It was realy enjoyable and surprisingly quite, it must be rammed in season looking at all the tourist stuff that was closed down. The sun set and the temperature started to fall and with it the biting insects came out so we turned back for the van.
