After a long day yesterday we didnt rush to get out and about today ( Friday )
The sun had been shining in a cloudless sky since we peeped out the windows first thing this morning. We took a stroll into Kendal about 2.5 miles from the camp site. Kendal is a large busy town but it has its good points. The river Kent runs through it with several bridges and a nicer riverside walk that took us into the town centre.
Spent a couple of hours shopping and sightseeing before we retraced our steps back up the camp site .
