After a very cold night we woke to a frosty start with clear blue sky's as the sun came up. Deciding to get out for the day we had breakfast packed the van and headed for Ingleston about 30 minutes through the lanes from the campsite. My brother Les had told me that there was an easy circular walk taking in some good waterfalls along the way.
We parked up in the village car park then found that we had to pay to gain access to the trail but the price included parking !
It was very busy but then it is Easter weekend and the sun's out . It was a fairly easy walk of about 5 mile and well worth it. Apparently one of the waterfalls was visited and sketched by Turner and I could see why it was very picturesque apart from the crowds. After walking upstream for around 2.5 mile the path leaves the river and cuts across windy moors for about a mile before you decend into another stream, following this past several more stunning waterfalls we found ourselves back in Ingleton and the van .
All in it took around five hours but that included a picnic stop and shopping in the village.
