Woke early with the intension of getting away early but breakfast in the sun on this site was just to hard to resist so we sat and enjoyed the view for the last time. We pa ked up, paid for our stay and got underway by 10.00.
Continued to follow the coast road south to Zadar. We needed to completely restock the van with food and the lpg gauge indicated empty, we also had ran out of suncream so Zadar should be able to sort it all out.
Found a fuel station with lpg, no problem filling up but with a 20 ltr tank showing empty it only took 14 ltr to fill, need to check the gauge when we get home !!
Found d a large supermarket and filled a trolly costing 460 Kuna, weird this money. Spent forever looking for a shop that soldsuncream but without any luck so got back on the coast road. Pulled in at every shop and super arket we passed but nowhere sold sun cream.
We pulled in and parked up in a busy little town of Biograd, built around a harbour full of yachts and boats so we were sure of getting suncream here. We had a pleasant few hours woundering along the sea front and harbour, found the suncream and got back on the road by 3.00 ish.
Continued along the coast road, the mountains now giving way to a very flat landscape, pine woods dotting the seashore and hundreds of islands running off into azure sea. Seeing a sign post for autokamp we turned off down a dusty track that opened up into a beautiful little cove. The campsite was actually several sites running into each other along a steep hillside that had been terraced. It was busy and far too cramped for us, the owner wanted €23.00 a night and you had to leave before 10.00 am so we drove off!
Not long after we found another, Kamp Kalebić , right on a small shingle beach in a little olive grove, €17.00 a night. Perfect, we pulled in and set up camp.
Total miles today 75.
