Lovely calm sunny morning packed up and on the move by 10.00 stopping at a large Asda just before junction 44 on M6 we got a few bits and bobs before heading for Gretna Green.
We pulled into the village parking at the blacksmith shop made famous in the 1700 for marrying couples who had eloped from England. Had a look around at the history of the place , took a few photos and moved on just as what seemed to be the entire population of Japan descended on the place !
Back on the motorway the traffic slowed to a crawl just north of Glasgow, we stopped for lunch for an hour to let the que subside, we later found out that a car had overturned. Traffic was still heavy as we found ourselves on the shore of Loch Lomond . It was a beautiful view with the sun shining , Angie was suffering with a migraine and although the plane was to get to Fort William to day we decided to take a drive along the east side of the Loch. We found a cracking club site right on the shore so paid the 16 quid ( no hookup ) and relaxed in the afternoon sun with fantastic views over the loch.
