Wind was still blowing strongly and the sun only just peaking through light cloud we decided to have a day up in the mountains.
120 mile later we realised we had made the wrong decision as the viability was poor over most of the Nevada mountain range, feeling a little disappointed we made our way to Pampaneria , a small white washed mountain village that we have visited a couple of times in the past. The weather improved a the sun came out to warm us as we walked the narrow streets and the wind had finally died down too ! We found a good spot for lunch and sat soaking up the views and the peace and quiet of this beautiful part of the world. Soon time to make a move and yet another day out when we wished we didn't have to travel all the way back to the campsite.
The wind was still blowing strong when we got back and continued well into the night, rocking the van violently and waking us on a few occasions.
