26th February - Sare to Tours

Rained none stop all night and was still raining when we packed up. Emptied the waste tank and filled up with fresh water and left at 8.30.
It was slow going as most of the roads were flooded with rivers and brooks bursting there banks. We pulled in for breakfast at 10.30 after only doing 35 mile !!
Things speeded up after Bayonne and we made better progress but only slightly. We should have reached Tours by 17.00 and at 18.00 we still had over an hour to travel. I decided to change plans and punched  hotels into the satnav,  by 19.30 we were dry and warm on the north side of Tours. Didnt check the mileage before locking the car up so will have to update later.
