24th February - Time to head home,La Garrofa to Gilet.

Up with the sun this morning. Not a cloud in the sky and by 08.00 it was getting warm. We packed the van had breakfast and pulled of site by 09.00.
We made a quick stop to check the tyre pressure and get supplies for lunch in Almeria the onto the A7 by 10.00.
Uneventful drive, weather was hot and we watched the distant clouds loom larger as we made our way towards Valencia leaving clear blue skys behind.
We pulled onto the Aire at 17.15 having covered 310 miles. Sun was slowly setting over the mountains as we sat with a brew listening to the birds singing in the olive groves.
Note  - use picnic site on A7 around 2 hours out of Almeria near to Lorca next time. Good stop with free wifi
