17th February - La Garrofa

Rained on and off over night and by morning it was looking like it was going to be in for the day. The sky was stormy looking and by lunch time it realy blew up with a thunder and lightning. We sat round the van reading and watching films to pass the time.  Cant complain as its the first totally sun free day since entering Spain 16 days ago, not bad for February I guess.
The rain eased by tea time and I whent out to stretch my legs and had a shock. The van was filthy with streaks of brown running down it. The roof of the sun canopy that covers the pitch is made of some sort of palm leaf and the colour must have washed out of it all over the van in the storm. A cleaning job for when the sun is shining!
