Made an early start today and was up before the sun. Sunrise was great lighting up the mountains as we pulled off the site around 7.30. Stopped at Verona for supplies before continuing along the Mediterranean highway heading for Valencia. The sun shone and as we past the beautifull mountain ranges fronted by the still flowering blossom trees streaching as far as you could see.
Just after Valencia we cut in land on the A23 and waved goodbye to the Med glistening below as we climbed. Within an hour or so the wipers switched on along with headlights as we ran into a blizzard !! Crazy to think it was 23 deg down on the coast.
With the sun sinking into a stormy looking sky we found ourself miles from any Aires or campsites so opted for the corner of a motorway services along with half a dozen other vans.
Great drive to day covering 467 miles, early start again tomorrow as we drive over the Pyrenees mountains.
