Spain !

After a great nights sleep I was up with a brew at 7.00 as the sun started to light up the dunes in golden orange. We thought stuff rushing off and went out for a walk. As we climbed to the top of a huge sand dune ridge it became obvious that the roar we had been listening to in the van was the stormy sea crashimg on on the longest sany beach ive ever seen. It must have been scary the day before when the storm was at its worst. We took a few photos and one of the van as we walked back  just for the album .
After a leisurly breakfast in the sun we eventuly set off .
Driving for several miles through the pine forest in the sun with blue sky's was just what we needed , we did a few miles on the motorway becore the satnav put us off  before the toll booth. !
Progress slowed down  a lot from then on but we travelled through some beautiful village's stopping at one to grap supplies for lunch.
Midday and hungry we pulled over, it was now 20 deg and we had the  windows open with views of the Pyrenees mountains in the distance !
It was busy through Bayonne with road works and diversion giving the  satnav a hard time. Once through we followed the N121 up into the mountains . With great  views we weren't in a rush and stopped at every view point with the camera. It was now gone 3.00 so we headed  for Pamplona and according to my a
Phone app an aire with water and electric hook up. We found it OK , a newly constructed  car park overlooking the town. The electric was via a token purchased from the sports centre but I couldnt work the map out so we settled for battery backup a d got the supper on.
As the sun dissappeard behind the mountains I worked out the mileage for the day it was a measly 170 !! but it had been a great day and we where now In Spain on day 3.
