Well the plan was to get away early this morning but as I refuse to set an alarm when on holiday we slept till 9.00 am. It was a very peaceful night and we shared the aire with just one other van. The su sho e a d the birds sang as we had breakfast and packed up, it was such a contrast to yesterdays storms. We pulled off around 10.30 and set course for Bourdoux. Progress was slow due to the type of road and the num er of small villages and towns but around Poitires it was back to duel carrigways and eventualy motorway. 2.5 hrs to do around 85 mile at first meant that we would not get to Bourdoux before dark so change of plan. We stopped for lunch and checked one of the apps on my phone to see that around 80kms away there was a couple of sites near Sandune de pilot ' the tallest sand dune in Europe. Worth a look so we left the planned route and an hour or so later just as the sun was setting in a clear blue sky we found the site. One problem, it was closed as the winter storms had dumped tons of sand on the area. A quick check and we found a car park another 1.5 kms along the coast. As we pulled in it was just getting dark so will have to have a look around in the morning. Van running OK and only 288 miles today. Should see Spain tomorrow !
A couple of shots of the aire from last night.
