Angie slept through , I dozed on and off until a guy came round waking everyone up at 6.30, I guess they didn't want the guests seeing us slumming it as they walked through the lounge on the way to breakfast!
The sea was flat calm and the sun shone all the way. Not a lot to do so not a lot to write about. One things for sure it has reminded us both about the reason why we don't do cruises! Total boredom for 18hrs, I really don't understand why people go through all this rather than drive through Croatia and Albania.
By 4.30 pm Italy came in to view and by 5.30 pm we had docked. Then organised chaos insured. Imagine thirty odd artic lorries and a couple of hundred cars on three levels all trying to get off at the same time, and some of the artics U turning on deck !! It took a good half hour to get off. The sun had gone down and it was starting to get dark. There was no way we could find a campsite in time so we headed for the centre of Ancona town looking for a room. Inside of ten minutes we had found a small hotel and booked in. Pricey but worth it as I was knackerd due to lack of sleep. Tomorrow we can start fresh and try for Austria.
Total miles - not a clue but in single figures
Time in saddle - half hour sitting on ferry and ten minutes to hotel.
