Even though we had a good nights sleep I was glad to be up and leaving the site. Don't get me wrong the facilities were spotless and didn't attract extra payment even the laundry room and all for €7.00 a night but it wasn't our sort of site packed in like sardines so we left at 9.00 to the sound of the local church clock.
We had spent a while last night deciding on what to do. Should we stay on the coast road and take our time or get on the motorway to Almeria, Almeria won based soley on the weather stats for this time of year !!
We got onto the A7 bypassing Alicante and Murcia. This part of the journey was beautiful , field after field of pink blossom trees and then after a while orange trees took over. The sky was cloudless and without much traffic it was a good run.
We left the A7 and dropped into Almeria , joined the old N340 for 7 kms to the camp site passing a signe displaying the temperature at 23 deg !
looking down on it from the road the site looked busy but they had plenty of vacant pitches. We sorted one out away from the beach under the shade of a giant car port type of construction then down to the beach to catch the last of the afternoon sun.
A great end to a great day, we have found the perfect spot to relax for a while , will post photo's tomorrow once I sort the wifi out !
