Micro flight trip

Well when I first started this blog it was to keep a record of my motorcycle trips and keep friends and family up to date, I never thought I would be blogging about a micro flight trip!!

Thanks to a group of close friends I was given a present for my 50th birthday last year of a micro flight . However, this was cancelled due to bad weather so we tried again today. The weather was windy all day and I thought that once again it would be cancelled. By 7.00 pm yesterday the wind had dropped and it was all systems go!
After a very brief introduction to the craft I was sitting in it or rather on it at the end of the runway , 60 seconds later I was airborne with the pilot at the controls. Surprisingly quickly we reached 1800 feet and levelled out. Then the pilot , Steve, from swift flight handed over the controls to me telling me to relax !!!
It took some time to get used to being suspended under a large kite at that sort of height and having the controls, a feeling I will never forget!
After some 30 min we returned to the airfield . I have and still have a huge grin on my face.
Cracking trip !
